As DirecÂtor of ComÂmuÂniÂty ScholÂarÂships at San Diego FounÂdaÂtion (SDF), which powÂers the NationÂal RainÂbow ColÂlege Fund, Danielle overÂsees the overÂall vision, planÂning and manÂageÂment of the SDF ComÂmuÂniÂty ScholÂarÂships ProÂgram, which annuÂalÂly awards more than $4.5 milÂlion to San Diego colÂlege stuÂdents. She works to impleÂment strateÂgic direcÂtion, genÂerÂate new funds and chamÂpiÂon the advanceÂment of eduÂcaÂtionÂal equiÂty for scholÂarÂship recipÂiÂents — the majorÂiÂty of whom are first-genÂerÂaÂtion, low-income and underÂrepÂreÂsentÂed.
Danielle startÂed at SDF in May 2011, proÂvidÂing local nonÂprofÂit orgaÂniÂzaÂtions with serÂvices and tools to help increase their susÂtainÂabilÂiÂty, and served as donor manÂagÂer for more than 300 nonÂprofÂit funds.
PriÂor to joinÂing SDF, Danielle worked at the MusÂcuÂlar DysÂtroÂphy AssoÂciÂaÂtion, where she manÂaged a healthÂcare serÂvices proÂgram for more than 1,000 patient famÂiÂlies. Danielle earned both her bachÂeÂlor’s master’s degrees in culÂturÂal anthroÂpolÂoÂgy from the UC San Diego.
